Orbán, meeting Erdoğan, says Turkey’s successes give Hungary encouragement

Turkey’s successes give Hungary encouragement, Prime Minister Viktor Orban said on Tuesday after talks with Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan, adding that great results can be achieved if a nation has self-confidence in its strength and its leaders implement the right programme.

Orban said he had accepted Erdogan’s proposal to establish a high-level strategic council to promote permanent relations as well as a proposal to set up a working team for energy affairs.

He said he had agreed with Erdogan’s aim to double bilateral trade so as to reach 5 billion dollars by 2015.

In order to achieve this, “all obstacles will be removed that hinder trade links,” he added.
